Our Response to COVID-19

In order to do our part to decrease the spread of respiratory illness and lower the impact of COVID-19, and to protect our clients, staff, and volunteers the Walla Walla Senior Citizens Center and its offsite locations are following recommendations to limit group activities.


We are temporarily suspending Congregate Dining and closing the Center until further notice.

Warm to-go meals will be provided as a drive-up service in the parking lot outside the loading dock. Meals on Wheels will continue as normal.

Various groups that meet at our center have canceled indefinitely as well.

- Stroke Foundation Workshops

Information continues to evolve. We will update you as changes occur.

MEALS-ON-WHEELS

At Walla Walla Senior Center, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the issue of senior hunger and isolation. We deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors, Monday-Friday. No income criteria. Available to persons 60+ yrs of age, spouses, and/or disabled dependents. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

MONTESSORI DAY CARE

Here at Walla Walla Montessori, we strive to create a natural learning environment for young children. The classroom is located inside the Walla Walla Senior Center, giving a natural opportunity to connect with seniors. We have a spacious classroom with access to Jefferson Park right out of our door.

FULL SERVICE SALON

We are dedicated to services designed for seniors. Our full-service salon is open to everyone with discounted rates for seniors. Open Tues, Wed, and Thurs 10 am - 3 pm.

SCSEP

The Senior Community Service Employment Program also known as SCSEP, has been serving seniors for over 50 years. This program provides training for low income, unemployed seniors, age 55+. If you are looking to get back into the workforce and to see if you qualify, please visit or call the Senior Center and ask for Marcella Guilland, our Employment Specialist.
